Dance Factory North East is a new and innovative dance company based in Teesside.
It was co- founded and is co-directed by Emma Beach and Satya Darbar.

It provides quality workshops and classes leading towards performance opportunities, collaborations and further training within the North East of England.
Studio
Dance Factory North East is based at the Holmwood School Space for Sports and Arts in Middlesbrough.
We have a purpose built dance studio with sprung floors and the latest sound and lighting equipment.
Bio
Emma Beach
Emma Beach trained at the Laban Centre, London in Contemporary dance techniques Graham, Cunningham and Limon release method.
Since graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree she has worked teaching, choreographing and performing within the North East.
Emma is one of the artists teaching on the Foundation training programme for Dance City and also founder and Co-Director of Dance Factory North East.
Bio
Satya Darbar
Satya Darbar gained her Bachelor of Performing Arts (Dance) Degree at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 1998. During her training and since graduating, Satya has experienced working with a variety of contemporary dance artists and has worked continuously as a commercial performer both on stage and TV working in parts of Europe and India.
Alongside performance work Satya has worked as a freelance dance artist delivering dance workshops to schools in and around her local area for 17 years and is currently delivering dance for the Foundation Training Programme led by Dance City.
Satya founded and co directs Dance Factory North East and has also recently completed her Post 16 P.G.C.E specialising in dance.
